New book details a pictorial history of American semi trucks

For all truck enthusiasts, there is a new book that you may want to check out. Ron Adams’ has a new pictorial history, American Semi Trucks: A Photo History of Trucks at Work, that details the evolution of tractor-trailer styles and engineering through three and a half decades’ worth of classic models.

The book highlights major manufacturers such as Ford, Freightliner, GMC, International, Mack, and Peterbilt, plus a variety of minor manufacturers.

The book covers the war and post-war years of 1943-1979, and is available via its Enthusiast Books publisher and online retailers like Amazon.com for $33.15.

Adams has published quite a few truck books, with some rave reviews.
